The many faces of home



It has been beautiful here. Autumn's colors are quickly fading, and we are on to the more desolate beauty of December.




A rare morning of fog greeted us on Thanksgiving morning, and we were glad to be staying home. I love the mysterious billows and shadows of fog, the way sound travels across the clouds, but with one blink it was gone. The blue sky sparkled and it was a perfect day for a post-turkey walk.



Last night at dusk the phone rang. My mother was on the line, urging us to
stop!
head outside!
It was a sunset not to be missed.
